Opti Regional Team PRIME

 

Mission:  To provide a professionally managed training and development platform and team environment to youth sailors in the Optimist class seeking to compete on the National and International level. 

 

Objectives:  Continue the tradition of Prime Sailing and it’s role as the premiere training organization in South East.

Create an annual training and competition calendar a year in advance of events that includes monthly practices and coverage at national level regattas.

Provide tiered coaching for development level, National and Elite sailors so all will benefit from training together and in pods.

Work in collaboration with regional Yacht Clubs, Sailing Schools and other organizations raise the regional level of competition. 

Build a team of sailors that work well as teammates, love the water, are prepared for competition at the highest levels of the sport in the Optimist and develop the skill and desire to campaign in future classes.

 

Commitments: Work collaboratively with regional organizations to keep the cost of participation affordable to as wide a range of families possible.

Operate with transparency

Utilize professional level coaches, quality equipment and maintain a safe coach to sailor ratio at all times.
